4th Arrest Made In Riverhead Robbery: Police

One person was charged with second-degree strangulation along with the robbery charges, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A fourth arrest has been made in a Riverhead robbery that took place in early October, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, on October 6 at 9:30 p.m., a call came in about a robbery near the corner of East Main Street and Howell Avenue, which was later determined to have taken place in an apartment building on East Main St.

Jason M. Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree robbery; Kristin M. Blevins was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree robbery; and Tyler J. Sypher-Burgess was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree robbery; second-degree strangulation, and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, police said.

Next, on Friday, after further investigation by Riverhead Police detectives and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, Cecilia Grayson, 37, of Riverhead, was also arrested and charged with one count each of second-degree robbery and third-degree robbery, police said. Grayson was processed, arraigned and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, police said.
