Deputy Sheriff Comes To Aid Of Motorist Trapped In Snow
Drifting snow left many motorists stranded on Saturday, police say

RIVERHEAD, NY — Law enforcement officials were out in force over the weekend to help those grappling with dangerous road conditions after last week's snowstorm.
According to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Bing stopped to render assistance to a stranded motorist at the intersection of Reeves and Roanoke Avenues in Riverhead.
Wind and blowing snow made travel dangerous in Riverhead Saturday, and local police warned residents to take heed to avoid drifting snow that made roads impassable, and getting trapped in snowbanks.
