Driver Airlifted After 3-Vehicle Crash In Laurel: Police

At least one person was seriously injured in the crash, police say.

LAUREL, NY — A driver was airlifted after a Laurel crash Monday afternoon, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. on Main Road in Laurel, near the Southold Town line.

The crash involved two trucks and a vehicle; one person was flown by Suffolk County aviation to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment; another was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.

The Jamesport Fire Department was assisted by the Mattituck Fire Department, officials said.
