Duck Pond Day In Wading River Celebrated Sunday

WADING RIVER, NY — The Annual Duck Pond Day in Wading River is set to splash off on Sunday.

The event, sponsored by the Wading River Shoreham Chamber of Commerce, takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wading River Duck Pond.

This year, the event will also celebrate the Wading River Fire Department's 75th Anniversary. The event includes food, drinks, music, arts and crafts vendors and a beloved Rubber Duck Race.

According to the Riverhead Town website, Duck Pond Day originally began with the tradition of meeting to help with the annual cleanup and preservation of the pond. Now, it's a community celebration; funds raised by the Chamber of Commerce helps support community and local organizations.
