
The Suffolk County Historical Society's new exhibit, “Death Becomes Her: Objects and Art of Death and Mourning," runs through May 26. The opening reception is April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibit feature contemporary artworks from EEAC artists, objects and artifacts from the historical society's collection, like Victorian era mourning jewelry, memorial hair wreaths and hair jewelry, mourning veils, a tombstone and coffins. It is on view through May 26. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
