Feb. 25: Mini Art, a Movie and a Night at Marine World

Take a look at what's going on around Riverhead this Friday.

1. Yesterday's 5 Things mistakenly said there was a movie showing at the library. In fact, the is this afternoon/evening from 4:00 - 6:00. Staff at the library said viewers will be able to choose between 'Unstoppable,' 'Shrek: Forever After,' and 'The Karate Kid' (the new one).

2. East End Arts Council is also hosting events to occupy the kids as we near the end of winter break. From 9:00 a.m. - noon, kids ages 8 and over can take a course on . The cost is $30 for EEAC members, and $45 non-members. 

3. Shorter courses at the EEAC are also being offered. From 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., kids over age 7 can take , part of the art council's winter mini art sessions. From 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. it's open to kids aged 4-6.

4. If longer sessions are more your cup of tea, Atlantis Marine World is holding an overnight sleepover. starts at 6:00 this evening, including dinner, a movie, a nighttime exploration of the aquarium, and live animal interatcions. It wraps up at 7:00 tomorrow morning with breakfast. 

5. Also starting at 6:00, the will host its weekly , in preparation for this weekend's Jazz on the Vine.
