Hadassah Suffolk Region Members Meet with Rep. Lee Zeldin in DC

Hadassah Suffolk Region members advocate for HWZOA positions on women's health equity, gun violence and support for Israel

Hadassah Suffolk Region members met with NY Representative Lee Zeldin (R-NY-1) on Thursday, May 17 in the Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill to advocate for Hadassah issues on Women's Health Equity, gun violence and support for the State of Israel and the Jewish community as part of Hadassah's 2018 Day on The Hill advocacy outreach program which this year included over 200 Hadassah members.

Hadassah Suffolk Region members Stacy Berman (Suffolk Region President), Lee Pinchuk, Pamela Diamond and Phyllis Abramson had just attended Hadassah's 2nd Annual Women's Health Empowerment Summit at the Capitol Hilton in DC on May 16 during National Women's Health Week (May 13-19). The annual summit is a program of the 28-member Coalition for Women's Health Equity, which was convened by Hadassah in 2016.

2018 marks the 100th anniversaries of the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Israel, which is comprised of two Hadassah-owned hospitals in Jerusalem, Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem and Mount Scopus; the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing and HMO's Department of Ophthalmology.
