Heroin, Fentanyl, Cocaine, Handgun Found During Riverhead Bust: PD
The drug crackdown was sparked by neighbors' complaints, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Four people were caught with narcotics — and one, with a handgun — during a crackdown on drug dealing by law enforcement in Riverhead, authorities said.
On Saturday at 6 a.m., in response to complaints from the community about drug dealing at addresses on Hamilton Avenue and Osborn Avenue in Riverhead, the Suffolk County District Attorney's East End drug task force, Riverhead police, Suffolk County police, and New York State police executed search warrants at both locations, police said.
At 332 Hamilton Avenue, heroin/fentanyl, crack cocaine, digital scales and about $3,215 were recovered; additionally, a .380 Smith & Wesson handgun was found, police said.

Lloyd Harris, a resident of the home, possessed the handgun illegally; Harris is currently on federal probation on a charge of conspiracy to distribute narcotics, police said.
Harris, 62, of Riverhead was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Also arrested was Dorothy Guthrie, 49, of Riverhead; Guthrie was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
A search of 607 Osborn Avenue led to the recovery of crack cocaine, police said.
Two people were arrested at that location, police said: Mellissa Tricoche, 56, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Donna Caporaso, 61, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
