Jan. 8: Arts, Boats, and Jazz. And More Jazz
Take a look at what's going on around Riverhead this Saturday.

1. Today is the last day for the 's , taking place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The EEAC's theme of 2011 is 'Art and Passion, the Year of the Collector.' Starting that theme will be a show entitled 'Miniatures.' The show will run from Jan. 14 - Feb. 25.
2. Do you or does someone you know - under 18 - want to get their boating license? The Peconic Bay Power Squadron is hosting a today from 10 a.m. - noon.
3. Looking to warm up? Head to a vineyard for a glass - or bottle - of wine, and warm yourself up with some live music. Plenty of vineyards are hosting musical performances today, including e at Sherwood House Vineyards in Mattituck.

4. Speaking of jazz, Sherwood House's event is but one of several jazz productions going on this winter on the East End. Check out Pat Rogers' article on where you can this winter.
5. Since we're on the topic, saxophonist Shenole Latimer is hosting a class tomorrow at the library entitled, '?' at 2:00. Reservations are suggested, so call the library if you want to get a primer before heading to all those jazz shows this winter.
