LI Man Charged With DWI After Crash Had Infant In Car: Police

He was driving while intoxicated and struck another vehicle with a baby in his car, police say.

EASTPORT, NY — A Center Moriches man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing Saturday in Eastport with an infant in the vehicle, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, the crash took place at 6:14 p.m. on Montauk Highway. Samuel SicanAjvix, 29, hit another vehicle, police said. He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, a felony, endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and numerous traffic infractions, police said.

SicanAjvix was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
