Man Drives Tractor Through Tent At LI Party: Police
A man drove his tractor into a large tent following a fight at a party at Wells Farm, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested after he drove his tractor through a tent after a dispute at a large party on his farm, police said.
Riverhead Town Police said at 12:32 a.m. Sunday, officials received a report regarding a disturbance involving a tractor "into a crowd" at Wells Farm on Sound Avenue, police said.
The owner of the farm, Todd Wells, 60, was located on the farm, along with what appeared to be the remnants of a large party, police said. An investigation revealed that there had been a party at the location and a dispute had occurred before Wells drove the tractor through a tent, police said.

No one was injured, police said.
Wells was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.

Wells's son told the Riverhead-News Review that his father was just trying to "intimidate" guests at a Quinceañera party after the guests refused to leave the farm at midnight.
