Local Assemblyman Endorses Adam Grossman For Southampton Town Justice
The local Assemblyman made the announcement on Monday.

New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. announced on Monday that he is endorsing Adam Grossman in his race for Southampton Town Justice, according to a press release from the Southampton Town Independence Party Committee.
Thiele, whose district includes the Towns of Brookhaven, Southampton, Shelter Island and East Hampton, has served in the State Assembly since 1995.
He is a former Southampton Town Supervisor and Suffolk County Legislator and is the Chair of the Southampton Town Independence Party Committee.

“I am proud to endorse Adam Grossman for Southampton Town Justice,” Thiele said. “Not only do I personally support Adam, but he is also the Southampton Town Independence Party’s nominee. We stand behind Adam 100%. He is clearly the most qualified candidate to run on the Independence Party line.”
Assemblyman Thiele’s endorsement comes just weeks before Grossman is set to face a primary for the Independence Party line on September 10.

Grossman, a former Sag Harbor resident, currently lives in Hampton Bays, where he has owned his home for 14 years, according to his bio on the Southampton Town Democratic Committee website.
He is an attorney who has practiced law for 22 years.
He graduated Pierson High School in Sag Harbor in 1983, Dowling College in Oakdale in 1987, and Pace University School of Law in White Plains in 1991.
Grossman was appointed to the Southampton Town Zoning Board of Appeals in 2002, where he has served as a ZBA member for 13 years and in 2010, he was appointed as Vice Chairperson of the ZBA, according to his bio.
He is currently is running for Southampton Town Justice on the Democratic, Independence, and Working Families lines.
“He intends to run based on his record of service in government, as well as his experience as an attorney in private practice, which includes representation related to zoning matters, traffic tickets, town code matters, landlord/tenant disputes, and civil disputes,” his bio reads.
