Local Law Enforcement Associations Supporting Palumbo for Assembly

Anthony Palumbo, the Republican and Conservative candidate for the 2nd Assembly District, recently met with Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas J. Spota, and members of the law enforcement community. Palumbo has been endorsed by the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, the Suffolk County Detective Investigators P.B.A., the Suffolk Detectives Association, the Suffolk County Police Conference, the Suffolk County Superior Officers Association, and the Suffolk County Corrections Officers Association, Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff’s Benevolent Association, the Suffolk County Probation Officers Association and the Nassau County Deputy Sheriff’s Benevolent Association. Palumbo is a former Suffolk County assistant district attorney and life-long resident of the East End. He has also been endorsed by the

During my time in the district attorney’s office, I learned first-hand the importance of upholding the law and this experience will guide me in my service in the Assembly. I want to thank District Attorney Thomas J. Spota for his advice and all the all dedicated members of these outstanding organizations for placing their faith and trust in me, it is truly an honor that I will work to maintain as our representative in Albany.”

Palumbo served in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office for six years. During that time, he prosecuted hundreds of cases on both misdemeanor and felony levels. These cases covered a wide spectrum ranging from violent felonies to narcotics cases. In addition, he served as trial supervisor for the East End Bureau, where he oversaw the prosecution of all crimes in the five eastern-most towns of Suffolk County.

“I believe Anthony Palumbo will be an advocate for legislation that puts law enforcement in better position to enforce the laws on the books and propose new legislation to enhance penalties for hit and run drivers. I have advocated for this legislation for over two years now and I believe Anthony can help deliver this for Suffolk County,” said District Attorney Thomas J. Spota.

 

“We’re endorsing Anthony for Assembly because we’re confident that he has the abilities and characteristics necessary to be an excellent leader in the Assembly; and the integrity to lead by example while he is there. He has committed himself in the past at the county level and now at the state level to deliver the results that move the state in the right direction,” said Noel DiGerolamo, President of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association.

 

“The Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA is pleased to endorse Anthony Palumbo for the New York State Assembly.  Mr. Palumbo has the background and skills to represent the citizens of the east end on Long Island and he will be an asset for the people of Long Island,” said Anthony Prudenti, President of the Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association.
