Man Arrested After Burglarizing LI Golf Course: PD
He's facing felony charges, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was charged with burglarizing a local golf course Tuesday, police said.
At 7:48 a.m., Riverhead Town police said they received a report about a burglary in progress at the Sandy Pond Golf Links on Roanoke Avenue. When officers arrived, the owner of the golf course said a man had entered the establishment and removed various food and drink items, police said.
The proceeds were loaded onto a John Deere Gator-type vehicle that was previously observed being operated by the man, police said.

Jamal Langhorne, 37, was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree burglary, a felony; third-degree larceny, a felony, and harassment, police said. He was held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
