Man Caught Driving While Intoxicated On Montauk Highway: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Hampton Bays early Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, at 2:29 a.m., patrol officers observed a driver headed west on Montauk Highway in the vicinity of West Tiana Road, failing to maintain his lane of travel. Evaristo Perez-Horto, 43, of Corona was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and issued summonses for traffic violations, police said.

Perez-Horto was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
