Man Dies After Falling Out Of Moving Limo Bus
Tragedy in Baiting Hollow Saturday when a man, 28, died after falling from a moving limo bus, police say.
BAITING HOLLOW, NY — A 28-year-old man died after falling out of a moving limo bus in Baiting Hollow Saturday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 1:21 p.m. on Sound Avenue just west of Osborne Avenue. When police arrived, they found the man on the road in need of medical assistance, authorities said.
Riverhead Police Department officers determined that the man was a passenger in a limousine-style bus that had been traveling west, and that he had fallen from the vehicle, police said. The driver of the limo bus remained at the scene, police said.

Emergency medical assistance was provided to the man and he was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center via Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for medical treatment; while at PMBC the man died, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department’s detective division was notified to continue the investigation; preliminary results indicate the incident was accidental in nature, police said.

The New York State Police Department's accident reconstruction unit and motor carrier unit were notified and assisted with the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police department at 631-727-4500.
