Man Found Dead In Riverhead Parking Lot: Police
His body was found near a dumpster in the municipal parking lot, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was found dead in a Riverhead parking lot Wednesday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a 911 call came in at 6:19 p.m. about an unconscious man found near a dumpster in the municipal parking lot north of West Main Street, between Griffing Avenue and Roanoke Avenues. Police found the man, 46, who was homeless, deceased, authorities said.
Riverhead detectives and the Suffolk County Medical Examiners responded; a preliminary investigation indicated that the man was not suspected to be a victim of violence or foul play, police said.

The man's identity was withheld pending notification of his family, police said.
