Man Robbed In Downtown Riverhead: Police
His backpack, cellphone and money were forcibly stolen, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was robbed in a downtown Riverhead apartment complex Wednesday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, the incident took place at about 5 p.m. on East Main Street. A man said that while inside the complex, another man, unknown to him, forcibly removed his backpack, cellphone and money, police said.
After a subsequent search, Saquan J. Blount, 25, of Riverhead was arrested, charged with third-degree robbery, and held for arraignment, police said.

Riverhead detectives and a K-9 unit assisted in furthering the investigation and recovering some of the man's property, police said.
