Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Riverhead Target Parking Lot: Police
The robber got into the man's car, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was robbed at gunpoint in the Riverhead Target parking lot Friday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a 911 call came in at 7:06 p.m. about the robbery, which took place on Route 58. A description of the thief's vehicle was given to police by the man who'd been robbed, as he was following the person, authorities said.
Officers located the robber's vehicle a short time later on Flanders Road, police said. The man had been parked in the Target lot when Brandon Wollney, 24, of Flanders, entered his vehicle, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash and property, police said.

Wollney was known to the man, police said.
Wollney was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree robbery, a felony, police said.

He was processed and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Riverhead Town Police at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential.
