Man Robbed At Knifepoint In Downtown Riverhead: Police

He was robbed Thursday night, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was robbed at knife point in downtown Riverhead Thursday, police said.

At just after 11 p.m., Riverhead Police said they received a 911 call about a disturbance at a Griffing Avenue location. A man told police that a woman and man forcibly removed his cellphone and money at knife point, authorities said.

Kari Reid, 42, and Nicholas Berg, 37, who have no known addresses, were arrested, police said.

Reid was charged with first-degree robbery, a felony; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and a town code violation for possession of an open container of alcohol, police said.

Berg was charged with first-degree robbery, police said. Both were held at the Riverhead Police Department and will be arraigned at Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
