Man Robbed At Knifepoint In LI Courthouse Parking Lot: Police
Two men pushed him to the ground and stole $600, the man says.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was robbed at knifepoint in a Riverhead parking lot Friday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, at 10 p.m., a call came in about a robbery outside the Suffolk County Supreme Court building on Court Street. A man, 51, was found in the parking lot; he told authorities that two men pushed him to the ground and demanded money, police said. One of the men displayed a knife while the other took the $600 from his pants pocket, police said.
Both men then ran through the parking lot toward Griffing Avenue, police said.

A Riverhead police patrol and K-9 unit searched the area but did not find the pair, authorities said.
The two robbers are described as Black, in their 20s, about 6-feet tall, and thin, police said.
