Man Screaming Obscenities, Fleeing From Police, Caught With Crack: PD
The incident took place in Flanders, police say.
FLANDERS, NY —A Riverhead man was arrested Saturday in Flanders after screaming obscenities, running from police, and being found with crack cocaine, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 11:48 p.m. when a call came in about Erick J. Contreras-Guevara, 22, an "unwanted subject" at the 7-Eleven on Flanders Road.
Contreras-Guevara was reported to be harassing customers and refusing to leave the store, police said.

When police arrived, Contreras-Guevara was observed in the parking lot, causing a disturbance, screaming obscenities and acting irate, authorities said. After numerous warnings, Contreras-Guevara was advised he was under arrest, police said.
Contreras-Guevara fled on foot, heading westbound on Flanders Road, and was apprehended by police several blocks away, authorities said.

Contreras-Guevara was arrested and taken to Southampton Town police headquarters for arrest processing, where he was found to have crack cocaine, police said.
Contreras-Guevara was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, police said.
He was held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at morning arraignment, police said.
