Man Steals From Vehicle In Downtown Riverhead: Police
He stole from a car on East Main Street, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was arrested after he stole from a vehicle in Riverhead Tuesday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, at 11:05 p.m., someone broke a vehicle window on East Main Street and removed two bags. Riverhead police and a K-9 officer responded; during the investigation, the K-9 officer located proceeds and a suspect, police said.
Michael Meade, 38, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
