Man Stole Power Tools From Vehicle In Downtown Riverhead: Police

He's facing a felony charge, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was arrested recently after he stole power tools and accessories from a vehicle in Riverhead, police said.

According to Riverhead Town police, the incident took place on October 6 at 12:10 p.m. in the parking lot of The Shipyard apartments on East Main Street. A complainant reported that someone had stolen the power tools and other items from an unlocked van at the location, police said.

On October 13, after an investigation, Brian Jenkins, 56, who is without a known address, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, police said. He was processed and issued an appearance ticket for Riverhead Justice Court at a later date, police said.
