Man Sustains Lacerations To Face, Head In Assault: Police

Another man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested after assaulting another man, who sustained lacerations to his head and face, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place Saturday at 2:01 a.m. on Winters Lane. A man was found with numerous lacerations on his head and face; the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and transported him to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. police said.

Bryan Paol Miranda Penafiel, 26, was arrested and charged with one count of second -degree assault, a felony, police said. He was held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
