Masked Man Robs Store With Apparent Handgun: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A masked man brandishing what appeared to be a handgun held up a GameStop in Riverhead Wednesday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the robbery took place at 8:44 p.m. at the GameStop, located at 1080 Old Country Road.

Employees reported an unknown man wearing a ski mask entered the store and demanded money; he displayed what appeared to be a handgun, police said.

The male suspect was described as being 5 ft. 6 inches tall with a slim build, police said.

He fled the location in a northbound direction with an undetermined amount of money, police said.
