Motorcyclist Airlifted After Jamesport Crash: Police
The crash took place Friday afternoon, police say.
LAUREL, NY — A motorcyclist was airlifted after a crash in Jamesport Friday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the crash took place at 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Laurel Lane when a man, 61, driving a 2005 Harley Davidson east, collided into the rear of a 2018 Ford Explorer that was also traveling eastbound.
The Ford Explorer was operated by a 23-year-old woman, police said.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded; the motorcyclist was airlifted by Suffolk County Police aviation to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department's detective division, as well as the New York State Police Department's accident reconstruction team, were notified to help with the investigation, police said.
