Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Wading River Crash: Police

WADING RIVER, NY — A Calverton motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Wading River crash Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Anthony Gallo, who was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson south on Wading River Manor Road at 2:55 p.m., failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway and crashed into the underbrush on the east side of the road, Riverhead Town police said.

He sustained a serious lower leg injury and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, via Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, police said.
