New Drug Bust In Riverhead Nets Quantity Of Marijuana: Police
BREAKING: The search warrant was executed after complaints from neighbors and an ongoing investigation into drug sales, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — The crackdown on drugs in Riverhead continues with a second bust this week, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, on Friday, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office East End Drug Task Force, in cooperation with the Riverhead Town Police, Suffolk County Emergency Services and New York State Police, executed a search warrant at a home on Raynor Avenue.
The search was the result of continuing investigations of drug sales activities in the Riverhead area and in response to specific community complaints of a high volume of traffic at that house, police said.

Police recovered a quantity of marijuana and a scale during the search, police said.
Richard Johannes, 20, of that address, was arrested, charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, processed at Riverhead Town Police headquarters, and released on an appearance ticket, police said.

Also arrested was another man, 33, who was arrested in relation to a Suffolk County court bench warrant for a traffic violation, police said. He was transported to the Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct, police said.
A prior investigation by the EEDTF and Riverhead Police resulted in a search warrant executed in Aquebogue earlier in the week that led to the arrest of a man found with crack, police said.
