Addresses across Riverhead, Jamesport, Calverton and nearby hamlets changed hands, offering a snapshot of current prices and investor interest in neighborhoods from Pier Avenue to Union Avenue.
   

2. Riverhead eyes townwide parking overhaul as downtown construction tightens spaces (riverheadlocal.com) — Riverhead officials are weighing a townwide parking management system while also scrambling to keep downtown businesses accessible during construction-related space shortages. Leaders are debating digital permits, license plate readers, privacy safeguards, and whether to eventually charge for some lots, even as they consider temporary parking along Heidi Behr Way and tweaks to Lots 5 and 6 to protect restaurant access.
   

3. Riverhead man arrested for child pornography possession: Police (timesreview.com) — Police say a 33-year-old Riverhead resident was arrested after detectives searched his Duryea Street home and seized multiple cell phones in a child pornography investigation. He has pleaded not guilty to two felony charges, and authorities are urging anyone with tips about online child exploitation to contact national or Suffolk County hotlines, where callers can remain confidential.
   

4. North Fork vineyards report limited impact from increasing spotted lanternflies (timesreview.com) — Spotted lanternflies are becoming more common across the North Fork, but local experts say vineyards from Aquebogue to Peconic haven't yet seen the kind of severe damage reported elsewhere. A Jamesport hardware store manager told the Riverhead News-Review her property tree is now infested, and specialists are urging residents to kill visible insects and scrape egg masses to slow their spread.
   

5. Thomas Lobianco indicted for aggravated vehicular homicide in fatal Nesconset road crew crash (greaterlongisland.com) — A Lake Ronkonkoma man accused of driving the wrong way and killing a road worker in Nesconset has been indicted on 19 counts and will be arraigned in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead. Prosecutors say the charges range from aggravated vehicular homicide to drug-impaired driving, while community GoFundMe campaigns are helping support the victim's family and the two seriously injured coworkers.
