Power Restored After Rt. 58 Outage In Riverhead: PSEG
BREAKING: The outage was caused by two primary wires coming down on Route 58, PSEG representatives say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Power has been restored after an outage that affected traffic signals and businesses on Route 58 in Riverhead Friday morning, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police said the power was restored soon after. "Everything is up and running," police said.
The outage on Route 58 was caused by two primary wires coming down at 7:19 a.m. Friday morning, affecting 549 customers for 92 minutes, said Elizabeth Flagler, media relations specialist for PSEG Long Island.

"We had to take an intentional outage for an additional 307 customers in order for the lineman to safely cut the wire clear. These customers were affected for 41 minutes. The cause is under investigation," she said.
