Riverhead Christmas Tree Shops Locations Set To Close Soon
Going out of business sales are ongoing now, with deep discounts, the retailer says.
RIVERHEAD, NY — The popular Christmas Tree Shops store in Riverhead is set to close soon, with "Going Out of Business" sales ongoing, according to a release.
The liquidation event is being managed by Hilco Merchant Resources, the release said.
According to a Newsday report, the Riverhead branch of the Christmas Tree Shops chain, located at 1791 Old Country Road, is set to close on August 22,store manager Greg Koplinka said this week.

At the "Going Out of Business sales", shoppers can take advantage of discounts up to 50 percent off the lowest ticketed prices throughout the store, with all Christmas and other holiday items being 50 percent off the lowest ticketed prices, the release said.
In addition to holiday items and décor, the major discount chain offers a large selection of home décor, furniture, gifts and more; new merchandise will be arriving throughout the sale, the release said.

Select fixtures, furnishings and equipment will also be available for sale in closing locations. All sales are final during the store closing event.
Christmas Tree Shops recently filed papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware indicating that liquidation sales would begin at all the chain's stores.
The two Long Island stores set to be liquidated are located below, according to federal bankruptcy court documents obtained by Patch.

According to the Newsday report, staff at the Deer Park location were not immediately aware of when that location would close.
The Middleborough, Massachussetts-based chain initially filed for bankruptcy in May following the collapse of its parent co. The modern chain began in the 1970s with a single store in Yarmouth. The chain was eventually acquired by now-bankrupt Bed, Bath and Beyond, but sold to Handil Holdings in 2020.
In October, Breslin Realty announced that a Christmas Tree Shop would open at Sayville Plaza in Bohemia.
