Riverhead Correctional Facility to Hold Special Unveiling Ceremony
Murals painted by non-profit will be revealed Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The unveiling ceremony for the Riverhead Correctional Facility’s “Splashes of Hope” murals will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the jail’s visiting area.
“Splashes of Hope” is a Huntington-based non-profit organization that ”transforms healthcare environments, enrich and facilitate healing through artwork,” according to splashesofhope.org. Since it began in 1996, the non-profit has enlisted the help of over 200 volunteers and mural artists to enliven and transform community and hospital settings around the world.
The facility will reveal the four bright and colorful mural panels painted by the Splashes of Hope Director of Operations and Muralist, Diana Fogarty in order to lift the spirits and impact hope to children visiting their parents and loved ones at the Riverhead jail.
