In total, the event raised $6,077, the most the event has raised ever.
In addition, the proceeds from the raffles raised over $1,500 which was donated to the Krueger family of Calverton.
Tristin Krueger, a senior, has been battling leukemia.
This tragedy was followed by a fire in the Kruegers’ home, which destroyed their home.
Raven Krueger, Tristin’s mother, attended the event to thank teachers, students, parents and the entire community for their support.
“It’s been hard. It’s been a little rough,” she said. “I want you to know that we all have hard times. Bad things happen to all of us. There are really only two choices: you can become bitter and resentful and get upset or you can try to see the good. And our family wants you to know that you are part of the good,” Mrs. Krueger said. “We want to thank you all.”
