Riverhead High School Students Receive Recognition For Performance In AP Exams

The Riverhead Central School District announced on Monday the Riverhead High School students that received recognition for their performance on the Advanced Placement exam from last year. They also recognized the students that achieved a level of distinction on the exam.

“We are very proud of the growth that our students have shown in both taking and excelling on AP exams,” states RCSD Superintendent of Schools Nancy Carney.

“We applaud our faculty, administrators, and parents for encouraging students to take these rigorous courses that will better prepare our graduates for college. From 2009-2013 we increased the number of AP exams administered. I congratulate our students and our teachers. In addition to increasing rigor by encouraging students to take more AP courses, the District has teamed with Suffolk County Community College to to offer our students college credit through SCCC’s Early College Program.”

Below are all students who earned an AP Scholar Award in the 2013-2014 school year. The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams.
