Riverhead Police Officers Save 18-Month-Old Baby Girl

The baby stopped breathing and did not have a pulse Sunday evenng.

Riverhead Police officers saved an 18-month-old baby girl who stopped breathing on Sunday evening.

Police responded to a call of an unresponsive baby at about 6:34 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers immediately began assessing the infant, who did not have a pulse, according to police.

Officers began CPR on the infant. The infant regained her pulse and began breathing.

The baby was transported by Wading River Fire Department to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
