
RIVERHEAD, NY - A thief who robbed the Riverhead Target in May has been apprehended, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Maurice Harris, 40, of Coram, was taken into custody Saturday at Riverhead Police headquarters without incident. He was arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree, a felony, police said.
Police initially responded to a report of a robbery at the Target, located on Route 58, on May 9, authorities said. After an investigation conducted by the Riverhead Police Department's detective division, Harris was identified as a suspect, police said.

Harris was processed and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
