Search On For Pair Who Stole Credit Cards, Went Shopping: Police

The two reportedly stole credit cards from shopping carts at a Riverhead store and went shopping, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY —The search is on for two people who stole credit cards from customers at Costco and went shopping in Riverhead, police said.

According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police, two wallets containing identification, cash, and credit cards were stolen from shopping carts at Costco, located on Old Country Road, on September 18.

The stolen credit cards were used later that day by a man and woman at Target and Walgreens, both on Old Country Road, police said. The pair fled in a gray, four-door sedan, police said.
