'Secluded' Wildwood Beach Gets Shout Out

WADING RIVER, NY — The secret's out — Wildwood State Park has one of the most glorious beaches, well, anywhere.

No need to head to the Caribbean or even the South Fork to find miles of white sand sure to delight. According to Only In Your State, "You’ll love this secluded New York beach with miles and miles of white sand."

The post explains that Wildwood State Park, also one of the area's largest campgrounds, offers an expansive stretch of beach with plenty of room to explore and stretch out in the sun. There's also a concession stand, where visitors can sit at picnic tables and breathe in the breathtaking views, including those dazzling North Fork sunsets.

And that's not all — New York State's first, brand-new, cozy vacation cottages opened at Wildwood State Park this season.
