South Jamesport Man Charged With Felony Assault: Police
The arrest came after he hit a man in the head and arm with a skateboard, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A South Jamesport man was arrested and charged Sunday after he hit another man in the head and arm with a skateboard, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, on Sunday at 4:44 p.m., a call came in about the assault, which took place on 2nd Street in South Jamesport. The man, who had a laceration on his head after being hit in the head and arm with the skateboard, said he knew the man who'd assaulted him, police said.
After a search, Aaron Hallock, 45, was found nearby, arrested, and charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony, police said.

The injured man was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Hallock was held for arraignment at Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
