Taxi Driver Robbed At Gunpoint In Riverhead: Police
The masked robber held a gun to the driver's neck and demanded cash, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint in Riverhead Thursday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, at 8:57 p.m., a call came in about a robbery that had taken place at the River Pointe apartments on East Main Street. A man approached the cab, put a handgun to the taxi driver's neck, and demanded money, police said. The taxi driver complied, and the robber fled the area on foot, police said.
No injuries were reported, police said.

The robber was wearing a black mask, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, and dark-colored pants, police said.
