Teens, 13 and 17, Found With Stolen Car At Riverhead Walmart: Police
The pair, from the Bronx, were found with the car in Riverhead, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A 17-year-old male and a 13-year-old girl, both from the Bronx, were found with a stolen car in Riverhead Friday morning, police said.
The 2020 Kia Forte had been reported stolen in New York City, Riverhead Town police said. At 10:25 a.m., police saw the car in the Walmart parking lot on Route 58 with the two inside; the 17-year-old was driving and the 13-year-old girl was in the passenger seat, police said.
The driver was arrested, brought to Riverhead police headquarters for processing, and released to his parents on a desk appearance ticket, police said. The girl was not arrested and was also turned over to her parents, police said.
