Woman Dies, Husband Seriously Injured In LI Motorcycle Crash: Police

The crash took place in Manorville Sunday, police say.

MANORVILLE, NY — A woman was killed and her husband, seriously injured, in a motorcycle crash in Manorville Sunday, police said.

The crash took place at 11:48 a.m. at the intersection of Wading River Road at South Street, Suffolk County police said.

Ebony Dandrich, 38, of Shirley, was driving a 2022 BMW southbound on Wading River Road when she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto South Street and collided with a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle that was heading north through the intersection, police said.

Both the driver of the motorcycle, Delio Dicuffa, 50, of East Moriches, and his passenger, Loraine Dicuffa, 49, of East Moriches, were ejected from the vehicle, police said.

Loraine Dicuffa was transported in an ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where, she was pronounced dead, police said. Her husband, Delio Dicuffa, 50, was airlifted via Suffolk County Police aviation to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said.

Dandrich was not injured, police said. No charges were filed in the crash; both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
