UPDATE: Alleged Drugged Driver Dies After 3-Car Northhampton Crash That Killed Woman

A 24-year-old man had been in critical condition following crash Friday afternoon. He died Saturday morning.

UPDATE Saturday 11 a.m.: McKee died of his injuries at the hospital at 9 a.m. Saturday, police said.

A 26-year-old woman is dead and a 24-year-old man accused of driving while on drugs is in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash in Northampton Friday afternoon.

According to Southampton Town Police, Brandon McKee, of Center Moriches, was driving a 2008 Toyota Scion north on Lake Avenue when he crossed over the double yellow line into the southbound lane of traffic, sideswiping a GMC SUV with two occupants and then hitting a 2009 white Nissan Altima head-on around 2:23 p.m.

The driver of the Nissan, Courtney Pivirotto, of Eastport, was pronounced dead on the scene. McKee was flown by a Suffolk Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The two people inside the GMC were not hurt.

McKee was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs.
