Woman's Disappearance Sparks Questions: Cops

The woman was reported missing from a motel in Riverhead, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A woman's disappearance from a Riverhead motel has sparked questioning.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people for questioning regarding a missing person’s investigation.

A 42-year-old woman was reported missing from the Swiss Motel, located at 1273 West Main St. in Riverhead, on June 6 and was last seen getting into a 1990s Chevrolet SUV, police said.

The woman was located on June 11 in Westbury but is unable to account for her whereabouts during that time; police are seeking to speak with two people who were seen on video surveillance in the company of the woman, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
