Broadway star Christine Andreas and Grammy nominated husband, Martin Silvestri; performed “Two For The Road” at Irvington Town Hall Theater on Sunday, October 9th to benefit Ability Beyond Disability. Close to 300 people filled the theater. Proceeds raised $18,000 that will support over 1,700 people with disabilities in New York and Connecticut.
“Two For The Road” is a well-traveled musical recollection and personal scrapbook of musical souvenirs and memories collected over the years. Andreas and Silvestri sang popular Broadway and show tunes, including “Fly Me To The Moon” and “And So It Goes.” A slideshow of snapshots from the couple’s travels was featured during duets such as “I Remember It Well.”
The show’s opening act featured Mike Sabath, a young man who has been raising money for Ability Beyond Disability through his music for the past few months. Sabath is an 8th grade student from Katonah, NY who wrote, composed and produced an original song titled “Hand in Hand”.
