The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester's Conductor Nate Chase in Switzerland Music Festival


SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester (RTOW) is proud and delighted to announce that its Conductor has been invited to perform at the internationally renowned Lucerne Music Festival.  He is currently in Lucerne Switzerland August 18 –Sept. 10th participating in this important cultural festival whose philosophy places a high priority on celebrating the creative energy of young artists, as well as on the fruits of artistic exchange.   The Lucerne Festival has a 70 year history and attracts over 120,000 visitors. This contributes to the local color and attractiveness  of the central Switzerland region.   The programs offer festival audiences extraordinary opportunities each year in which to experience music of a singular quality created through the collaboration of world-class orchestras, conductors, and performers.

The RTOW conductor, Nathaniel Chase, holds a Bachelors degree in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Masters degree in Music from the Yale School of Music. He is an accomplished musician (double bass) and has won the Concerto Competition at The Yale School of Music in 2010. He is currently playing with orchestras and ensembles in NYC as well as teaching double bass. He is young, energetic and projects a joyous enthusiasm for teaching and conducting.  His extensive knowledge of the intricacies of a symphony orchestra and of the classical music repertoire is vital to the enrichment of The Really Terrible Orchestra’s orchestral experience.  For information on becoming a member of this no-audition, 501(3) not-for-profit community orchestra headquartered in White Plains, visit the website, www.RTOWestchester.org or view the Orchestra’s Facebook page.
