Cedar Street Closed Due to Film Shoot

From 8 a.m. until 8 or 9 p.m. Sunday Dobbs Ferry's Cedar Street will be closed to traffic, police said.

The independent movie Predisposed has been filming in the Rivertowns, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow all this month wit sets including: a home on Manor Pond Lane in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry High School and Zion Episcopal Church on Cedar Street. Today, they will shoot a scene set in the village's main business district. 

The film stars stars Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter). According to the Internet Movie Database, Predisposed is a comedy about a piano prodigy (Eisenberg) who is dealing with his troubled mother (Melissa Leo) and ends up "enlisting help from a hapless drug dealer, Sprinkles (Tracy Morgan), on the day he has an audition for a prestigious music program."

The Dobbs Ferry board of trustees voted six to one to approve a permit for producers to shoot in the village during their May 24 meeting.  

Police said all traffic would flow South on Broadway throughout the duration of the day.
