Dobbs Ferry Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges

A Dobbs Ferry man faces a maximum of seven years in state prison on child pornography charges.

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced Tuesday that Jason Alexander, 51, of Bellair Drive, pled guilty to promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, felonies.

Alexander is a television director and producer with such credits as “Law & Order” and “Rescue Me” to his name. He is the son of actress Jane Alexander.

On July 24, a district attorney’s office investigator downloaded child pornography from an IP address in Westchester County.

An investigation determined the Internet address was assigned to Alexander’s home and a search warrant was subsequently executed there.

Computers and external hard drives removed from the home revealed digital files of children under the age of 16 engaged in child pornography.

Alexander remains out on bail and is scheduled to be sentenced May 3.
