Dr. JoAnne Januzzi Named Interim Principal of Ardsley Middle School
Januzzi has held high-ranking school administrative positions in Brewster, Tuckahoe and Mount Pleasant.

Dr. JoAnne Januzzi has been appointed Ardsley Middle School Interim Principal, effective Aug. 24, the Board of Education announced Wednesday. She replaces Edgar McIntosh who left to take over as Director of Curriculum in the Briarcliff School District.
Dr. Januzzi comes to the district with nearly 30 years of experience in public education, having held the positions of Principal at Henry H. Wells Middle School in the Brewster Central School District, Principal of Tuckahoe High School, and Assistant Principal Westlake Middle School in Mount Pleasant. She began her educational career as a Special Education teacher on Long Island.
“I am very happy to announce that JoAnne will be joining our team for the next school year. Her deep experience working with Middle School students and faculty, along with her vibrant and open personality, make her an ideal candidate,” said Dr. Lauren Allan, Superintendent of Ardsley Schools, in a statement. “JoAnne and Assistant Principal Stu Horlacher will make a great team and I am confident that our middle school learning community will continue to thrive under their leadership.“

Added Dr. Januzzi, “I am looking forward to working with the students, faculty and families of Ardsley Middle School for the next school year. Ardsley is a high performing district with a dedicated, professional staff and I will work diligently with them to ensure a positive learning experience for all our students this year.”
Dr. Januzzi holds a BS in Elementary Education/Psychology and Masters of Education from Hofstra University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fordham University.
